Plant/CMS Database

The Plant/CMS Database consists of a core database which represents the configuration of the facility and application databases, which contain additional information related to individual applications.
The building block of the database is an object, which has a variety of representations. The database contains two major numbering schemes: object and component.
Object represents a unique representation of plant element and is assigned as part of the database building process.

The database represents 3D, 2D, schematic/logical, and text representations of the facility.

- 3D Object Representation- 2D Schematic/Logical Representation- Libraries- Schema Organization- Geometry- Component Control- Document Control
The application databases exist only if applications are used, and typically represent:
- Piping Fabrication- HVAC Fabrication- Documents- Radiation Surveys- Generated Drawings- Bill of Material.
